Hey yall!! We’ve decided to move to the sidecar setup so my husband can get back in bed 😅 I have the crib zip tied to our bedframe as I saw a lot of people recommend, and I put a blanket under her sheet on the crib side to push the mattress closer to our mattress.
How do I make that crack safe for her? Right now I have to push to get my hand in the crack but I still worry :) any and all suggestions are welcome!!

Did you follow any instructions on making this!? I want to do this too so my husband can come back to bed as well!

Looks fine to me. If both mattresses are the same height, it's safe.

Thank you everyone! It’s working really well 🥰 I can’t remember where I read someone’s directions for the DOY, but basically I took the front off of our crib and then zip tied the crib to our bed frame. The crib mattress is the exact same height as ours, otherwise we would’ve had to adjust that to make them even. After that I shoved blankets between the crib mattress and the crib wall to make the crib mattress flush with my mattress and it’s a good, tight fit!

thank you! I have been looking at the DIY stuff too.
Curious what you do for nap time? I’m looking into contact map to get her down, then putting a barrier up once she’s settled 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️

for naps I put her closer to crib but I just keep the monitor on :) she’s not mobile yet so she has not moved yet! I also contact nap a lot to get better naps in 😅

oh oh! That makes sense haha my 9 month old is VERY mobile.

I think co sleepy says to pack any gaps
