Constipation

My lo is 5 weeks 1 day. Hasn’t pooped in 2 days and he’s so uncomfortable. I called his doctor and all they will tell me is gripe water. I’ve already been doing that but it’s to the point of he will only sleep when he’s held (won’t transfer) and he’s crying constantly (cries even harder when he farts) I feel so bad… is there anything I can do to help him? Picture of his sweet face

My daughter has been dealing with constipation. There seem to be two things that get her to poop… crying while having her diaper changed and a warm bath. I know it sounds horrible but maybe get him naked on the changing table and then let him cry out the poop. Otherwise perhaps a warm bath will help?

I just got him out of the bath and he’s been constantly farting so hopefully that helps😪

Are you breast feeding 🤱 or formula . When I feed my son breast milk he poops 💩 his farts stink so bad lol

Baby tummy massage techniques- YouTube them 😊

And try feeding a bit extra, that helped our girl go - if you are formula fed, you can try a pre-made bottle, they can have a small laxative effect.

At one month old, you can give them an ounce a day of apple, pear, or prune juice. I had the same issue with my little. This is what helped them.

Of course, ask your pediatrician if it’s okay first. There could be circumstances that exclude this for your baby.

A warm bath always does the trick for my LO. We also used baby probiotics and it helped.

You can try a mix of both gripe water and gas drops throughout the day. I also massage around the butt and bicycle kicks at diaper change.

I exclusively pump. He normally does really good pooping. It’s just these past couple days have been a real struggle😭

I’ll have to ask about this. Thank you.

My girl went almost two days without pooping and it made us so worried. We did tummy massage for gas, we gave warm baths and lots of bicycle kicks. We also gave her gas drops.
She dirtied 3 diapers in a row when she went!

If she doesn't go soon take her into a different doctor. Ours said 3 days is the limit and to take her in if she doesn't go by the 3rd day.

I know many moms won’t agree with this because it’s different but you can also try a windy from Frida mom. It’s scary if you never did it before but my baby was fussy and pushing to the point she would throw up instead and I did the windy and she pooped almost two diapers full with it. Sometimes they just need a bit of help since my pediatrician said that baby’s don’t have full control of their movements and some organs take longer to master and develop even after birth.

Hope the little ones gets the relief he needs

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Crawling

Did anyone’s little one start crawling yet? I feel like we are falling behind but really have no idea. I’m trying to introduce more floor time but it’s been rough because of having hardwood floors and our 80 lb oblivious to life dog. I got us a carpet for the living room and trying to put the dog out more when the weather allows. She sits like a pro and will roll to get the things she needs😅 but no real signs of crawling yet.

Silver cross pushchair

Has anybody had experience with the sliver cross cove or breeze? Me and my partner can’t make an agreement 😅 I like the cove but is it worth the extra money to the breeze?
