My induction process started 9am Monday morning, by 5am Tuesday morning my cervix was in a position to have my waters broken. However, I’m now just in a limbo waiting stage for labour ward to accept me to then break my waters - it’s now been 48hrs since my cervix has been ready for the next stage and no sign of labour ward being able to take me on, so I’m just stuck on the antenatal ward in a waiting phase.
Anyone know what my options are? Ive requested another dose of gel to try get things progressing further rather than wait for labour ward to break my waters, however labour wards have requested they don’t do this as basically they don’t want to have to take me rn 🙃
So frustrated !!

I also had this experience with my first waiting for a bed on labour ward. So frustrating but I guess they have to prioritise space for women in active labour ...
Not much help. But good luck and try to stay calm/rested for baby 💖

how long did you find yourself waiting for? It’s just hard to get my head in a good space when there is so much unknown. If they could tell me oh you’ll deffo be taken on my Saturday It’d give me a goal but thinking I could still be stuck on this ward for a week even is driving me insane. Every day I start of hopeful and by the evening I’m in tears 🙈

yes of course, completely appreciate they have to priorities. Just frustrating that I’m ready to go but stalled now and they won’t do anything further as I’m in a good position to go 🙃thank you so much xx

How many weeks are you? In my hospital they’ll have to prioritise you by 40+7, if that’s a date you are close to you could aim for that. Wonder is it worth trying some of the natural methods to get you started? Clary sage, colostrum harvesting, bouncing on the ball, going for a walk… Good luck!

It is Thursday, I’m so sorry your wait has been this long. I’d be frustrated and feeling stuck too. I’m not as far as you so I have no advice but hoping you can make the best use of this transition point with rest or journaling or another way to pass the time.

This happened to me too. And when I finally got down there they said nope sorry if we break it you could have a cord prolapse as babies head position is a bit high. I then had an absolute disaster of an experience and you can read some of it on my post about the hospital if you dare...
