Hello mamas, I’m EBF, I need ur advice pls. My boy is 10weeks and his mid night feed is “nappy, breastfeed and falls asleep on my boobs, then I take him to his cot. I later introduced cosleep because I also need to lay down whilst feeding him. Then we co sleep with boobs in his mouth till he falls asleep then I will give him dummy. Since then he loved it. Now, without boobs he won’t sleep even if I give him dummy he still won’t sleep, rock him - he won’t sleep. Advice on what to do pls? Should I continue doing this? Will he out grow it ? Or will it gets worse.

My boys 9 weeks, n this is our routine to.. we’ve been doing it since day 1 because there’s no other way he’ll sleep to, I did this with my first baby (he’s 5 now) stopped brestfeeding at 6 months then moved him into his own room at 8 months old because he wouldn’t sleep in his own bed, he eventually learned to sleep on his own after going in his own room. Every now n then till I think he was 2 he had to come back in my bed but only like half way through the night kind of thing. With this one, I’ll feed him try him in his own bed which he usually doesn’t like then have him in with me to sleep. N keep trying until we get up. Some nights he’ll sleep like an hour in his own bed but most of the night he’s with me

I’d say just keep trying him in his own bed, just so he gets used to being put down n he’ll eventually get it. But if he doesn’t try not to feel anything negative towards it, he just feels safer and secure with you. You’re warmer and more comforting than an empty baby bed.

I i will keep trying. Thank you.
But when I breastfeed him at midnight and try to burp him, he wakes up fully and won’t fall asleep again. Till I give him boob.
Maybe I’ll just skip burping him 😂😂

Mines exactly the same! It’s completely up to you, I know with mine he won’t lay down for very long if I don’t burp him he’ll just be very very fussy and wake himself up :( it’s hard but it’s only temporary!!

Thanks mamas. I’ll try all.
