3rd trimester Insomnia/unable to sleep through the night

I have always had sleep problems. I was on a small dose of Seroquel to help me stay asleep prior to finding out I am pregnant. Now I am on nothing. My OB told me only take melatonin(doesn’t work for me) and Benadryl 25-50 as optional meds to help me sleep… none of these things have helped me sleep through the night in the last 7 months… I am today at the point were I burst into tears because I called in for the second time this week because I haven’t slept since 1:40am after waking up bright eyed.
I do a high stress level job and it would be a disservice to my baby & my patients to go in with one hour of sleep while 33+ pregnant.

Has anyone else who has had this issue found anything that helps them sleep through the night.genuinely helpless at this point.

My main problem is sleeping through the night.
Or inability to fall back asleep once I wake up.

Pregnancy insomnia is dam annoying had it myself but it was at that point think were it was happening more often at that 7 month mark as would wake up for toilet then not be able to get back to sleep but the mediation was a godsend but try and think about nothing or you will find it hard but added benefit is supposed to be a chilled out baby which I agree works as son like that

My doctor recommended unisom which I've been taking and that's helped a little bit. I have insomnia from before being pregnant so I get how much it sucks.

Unisom worked great for me while pregnant!

I was on a few different meds throughout the years for sleep.

No matter what you take right now, thanks to hormones and prepping for motherhood - your sleep is going to be rough /:

Magnesium with unisom was my combo while pregnant before bed. It worked wonders!

Can you try cherry tart juice?

Gabi! What sort of mag did you specifically take with your unisome.

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

Am I wrong?

I’ve been wanting to add more garden beds to my garden. Husband says “hey do you want to go to Home Depot to get that wood for the garden beds.” Cool I’m excited I’ve been wanting to get this done for awhile.

We get there and we’re picking out wood and I make 2 comments about how I don’t like how 2 pieces of wood look that he picked out. And he says if you’re going to be this picky then u can do this yourself.

I literally made 2 comments and mind you I’m the one paying for the wood.

I felt dismissed and like my opinion didn’t matter and if I wanted to have an opinion then I need to do it myself. Like what?

It was rude and not okay. Am I wrong? Am I overreacting?

He thinks it was fine that he said that.

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
