My baby bit me a lot this evening which was painful and had me in tears as I was already overwhelmed. I don't want her to see me sad like that. So, when did you know it was time to stop for you?

I wanted to keep going until my son self weaned. We got to 2.5 years and I had had enough so then I actively cut out the last 4 feeds down to a morning feed only and at 1000 days ( 2 years 9 months) I gave him his final feed. He hasn't had milk for Iver a mo ths now and has only asked a couple of times despite him being a real boob monster before . X

I’m at 17 months breastfeeding still. My daughter is constantly biting me and all you’ll hear is me screaming stop. I’ve contemplated weaning her but I rather let her wean herself off eventually even if it takes 5 years.
Each person is different though it honestly depends on how you feel mentally and physically when it comes down to it!!!!!

My second got to the point where I was bleeding after nursing him - so I weaned him pretty quickly after that. He was probably around 16 months.
Makaila is right though: you do what is best for you. If it hurts and baby won't stop biting, maybe it's time to wean

With my first born he was weened at 2.5 after the first time he bit me and drew blood (about 18months old) I went and bought nipple guards. I let him "play" with them suck in them just all around get to know them before ever using them and I was really stressed about it he had a hard time latching and was premature so I wasn't sure if he would take them. When he did it was better. Definitely still hurt but 100x better. I had to rebuy them after about a month because he's bite through them and nipple gaurd is one of those things you get what you pay for so my advice would be buy really good ones or a crap ton of the other. If your child has a brand of bottles or binkz they liked try and see if that company makes them. After starting him with those I slowly started giving him less boob more bottle at 2 (25 months and 9 days actually) years old he took the boob for the last time my milk supply ran out about 32 months. But is right it's completely what you are mentally and physically able to handle.

You can always drink the Sweet pie smoothies and start a milk supply now just keep adding on and adding on so you know that your LO still has it. I wish you the best. I'm so sorry that happened to you. It's a shock to the system. At least for me it was.
