so my boyfriend is asking if his mom can take the baby tmr to see his grandpa because he hasn’t seen her in a while and he’s only here for a couple of days. i told him if it’s his last day here then okay but if it’s not then no because he can see her the next day because remember we made plans but your asking me if he can see her even tho you knew we made plans. he told me does that matter tho? he is family after all. i told him and after all we made plans way before you asked me if the baby can go. i also told him if he’s here on monday then she can go no problem but if his last day is tmr then he can take her in the morning. he gets mad at me for saying all of this and i get mad at him for acting like it’s the end of the world if he doesn’t get to see her exactly tomorrow and not monday. ladies help me out.

You're not saying, "No, he can't see her." You're saying, "He can see her, but not tomorrow, because we already have plans."
I don't see an issue with that at all. 🤷🏼♀️

I agree with the two ladies above who commented. It’s your kid, and it’s not like you’re asking for anything unrealistic. They’re just gonna have to deal with it and be accountable for their reactions

Idk .. I kinda understand your bf getting upset cause it’s his baby as well & it’s his family … he probably has a lot of trust for his mom & grandpa like we all would .. so you telling him no probably is a bit annoying cause it’s his baby too… choose your battles tho ! If it’s really a hassle then yeah say no do another day but if deep down you guys can reschedule plans or move something around then make the effort the same way you would if it were your grandpa that’s visiting … life is so short.
