Hi for you ladies that cosleep or coslept with your toddler and had a 2nd baby, what did the sleeping situation look like then? Or how did it change etc?
Dreading this the most as toddler needs me to stay asleep at night š¬

The answer to this definitely depends on your unique situation and what youāre comfortable with! You absolutely *can* get your toddler to sleep without you if youāre ready for that! But if you want both your babies in your room with you; Iāll tell you what I did! My 2nd was born when my toddler was about to turn 2- she had been sleeping in the middle between my husband and I and we decided to move her to a crib attached to my husbands side of the bed. Safety is important and I wasnāt sure if the baby was going to be in our bed or not so I wanted to make sure my toddler was on the other side of my husband to keep everyone safe. It worked really well for us. But honestly we couldāve kept her in the middle because the baby stayed in a bedside bassinet on my side. We just moved them to their own room together as a 3 year old and a 15 month old! I love how we did it. Baby number 3 coming in a a few months and everyone will have their own space.

I slept in the same bed with my 2 year old and had newborn in a pack n play next to the bed until I was comfortable to bring him into bed with us and I slept in between the two ā¤ļø

I have a 7 year old with special needs that still wonāt sleep alone. I have a 2 year old in the same boat. Currently, we each take a recliner in the living room to sleep because the bed isnāt big enough for all of us to share (my kids are sleep ninjas so that doesnāt help at all). Iām trying to transition us into a bed now and itās been rough.

My son was 19m when my second was born. I have always co slept with him and thought we could have baby in a bassinet by my side⦠every single sound my newborn made woke my toddler up. Every nursing session my toddler was over my shoulder and then cranky all day. I wish it worked for us but it just didnāt. We had to put my son in his own room in his own crib yes it was super hard considering we just brought home a new baby but now he is 2 1/2 and loves sleeping on his twin mattress. š

I just had my 2nd two months ago and my toddler (2years 7months) is still in bed with us.
All 4 of us are in one king size bed and the order goes wall, baby, me, toddler, husband.
We're really lucky with my baby that he doesn't cry or fuss too much at night so he doesn't wake anyone up. In fact, my toddler wakes him up more.
I worried about this a lot too as my toddler is not going anywhere anytime soon. But just letting you know that it can be done to being the new one in with you right from day one.

this is what I fear!!! I guess I may have to see how toddler wakes or not with new baby night feeds etc
