I love my baby I really do but I just don’t feel that “bond” yet.. and I don’t know why. I don’t feel connected like most women do with their babies .. idk if it’s bc my birth experience didn’t go the way I wanted or what but this sucks :(.

I struggled with feeling a bond for the first few months. It might be due to the birth as I had that too xx

I think a stronger bond comes when they start being more alert and interacting with you

Take your time and cut yourself some slack. It will come and this experience is valid 😊

I’ve just commented on another post about bonding and believe me I know how you feel it took a month for me to actual feel a bond with my LO I had imposter parent syndrome and asked myself everyday when’s this kids mum coming to pick him up cause it hadn’t sank in I actually birthed him and I think that’s why I struggled to bond with him but I promise you it does get better when they are more aware and make eye contact my LO is now 3 months old and are bond is amazing but honestly I know how you feel if you ever need to talk you can always message me x

It does suck. It makes you feel awful, like you’re a bad parent for not loving your baby right. But it’ll come. It took me 3 months to feel bonded to my first daughter. I sat there and cried with her in my arms, just loving that baby who was my world. Not everyone has the same experience. And it will probably be different with each child. With my second daughter, I felt the bond at about 3 or 4 weeks, and my reaction wasn’t as dramatic. Hang in there, mama. It’ll come.
