Hey mamas
My little boy is breast fed but only at night & to sleep. I enjoy breastfeeding but the only issue I’m starting to find now is he seems to be waking up a lot more and using me as comfort, he is probably waking every 1-2 hours and now I’m back in work I’m struggling 😭 he has never sleep through the night either, I feel I’m ready to end our journey but I know he really isn’t but for my mental health I feel I need to now. We co sleep but will be trying him back in his room on a floor bed ( he absolutely hated his crib would never sleep in it always wake on transfer) then me and my partner have a week off together and plan on going cold turkey with the BF at night and my partner does all the wake ups. I’m absolutely dreading it, if anyone has any positive stories about stopping BF or how they done it that would be great.
He has also never taken to a bottle so that isn’t a option for us either he hasn’t really taken to any comforters either 🤷♀️

I went cold turkey with mine as we had a similar issue and we had two awful nights, he was awake for a while, but I stayed strong and he eventually fell back to sleep. But it was life changing. After a few days he forgot my boobs existed. So crappy few days but totally worth it
I’m hoping this it what will happen with us 🤞 he is such a boobie monster I find it hard to see but hear a lot of people having success after a few days xx

I feel like I’ve written this 😵💫 I am going to try the same cold turkey once she’s off this terrible teething and bug she’s got. I’m also desperate Xx

I’m in the same boat 😭

Mine is feeding a lot over night too, we have given him a floor bed and he starts the night in there. It’s been much easier to get him down, he also hated being lowered into a cot!!
He still only sleeps for a couple of hours at a time too so ends up in our bed a lot but once we’ve got some free time also going to go cold turkey on night feeds 😬 it’s daunting but a lot of people I know say it takes a few days, so my fingers are crossed for us all in the same boat!! Xxx

I’m doing a slightly different approach. I started with milk in a sippy cup or bottle with straw (he has an older sister so steals her bottles all the time).
I give him it before bed time whilst we’re downstairs and then dressed for bed and take upstairs to pace for a bit and put down.
He’s currently still on the boob in the night and also loves to co sleep. But we’re taking little steps.
