Still in survival mode

Nearly 6 weeks in I’m really struggling with lack of routine, no two days are the same and I have a 3 year old to think about too. I’m finding it so hard not knowing what will happen when and doing even the smallest non child/baby related tasks feel mammoth. I’ve just started taking antidepressants as mentally I just can’t deal with this. Is anyone else still finding they are just winging it day by day with no real structure. I can’t bear it for me and my 3 year old.

Oh god yes. Some days I'll have a win! And I'm like yes I finally have my shit together and then the next day it all goes to pot again lol I'm sure it's very normal. I only have 1 baby so I reckon you are doing amazing with anything you can achieve with 2. I literally couldn't even contemplate having 2 right now so we'll done you are doing great Xx

Yes, you are not the only one. I have another girl who will be 3 in May, and my boy is nearly 4 weeks. It has been made harder by our childminder stopping work the week before baby boy was born 🤦🏻‍♀️ so my 3 days of the eldest going there suddenly stopped. We are both struggling with the lack of routine, but I just take the wins and try not to focus on the losses. It will get better, but it's OK to feel lost sometimes. Seek out local support groups and speak to your HV if you need some extra support too xx

Totally! I have a 14 month old to contend with and she’s turning into a proper toddler now so tantrums over the slightest thing.. getting out the house is just impossible at the moment. 🫠😫 be kind to yourself and know that it’s not forever. ❤️❤️ there will be good days and bad days. Most days I’m in tears not going to lie but then I look back at the day and think I managed ok! Xx

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Baby names

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!
