Hi guys, I'm 14 weeks pregnant, baby's due on the 9th August. As a young mum does anyone else feel a bit lonely?

You feel lonely no matter how old you are when you become a mum, some people don't though. I felt lonely when I had my first, second and I'm now on my 3rd. X

I felt this too , especiallly when I didn’t have any mum friends at the time who were going through the same ! Where are you from ? Xx

From SE London, lewisham area

Just feel as if I'm sort of distanced since it's not like I can go out and do certain things where I'm pregnant, still excited to have a little bean tho

that’s understandable , honestly pregnancy is lonely but very worth it ! X I’m from east London x

I definitely felt lonely during and shortly after too. Now not so much as I know those around me genuinely care for me and my daughter xx

Definitely while everyone my age is out partying I’m staying home w a baby cause 1 no one invites me out anymore 2. They don’t understand my new life completely. Just know it’s completely normal it might suck but eventually you’ll find someone to help u through

Absolutely! I'm going to be 24 soon, and we have twins and a singleton, it's so lonely and isolating, during pregnancy it was really made obviously the people I thought would be excited and care, didn't. They didn't even make an attempt to ever meet our babies:/ if you do have a support system, reach out, offer to go out to eat, definitely don't isolate yourself❤️

Pregnancy and parenthood can be so incredibly lonely if you don’t have friends to go through it with. My first I had at 19 and I have never felt so alone in my whole life. It was awful. With my second I was 20 when I had her I met some online groups and it truly helped so much. I also found a mom’s walk group and it was so helpful as well. Yes k was the youngest, but just being around anyone with kids was so helpful. Now I have an amazing group of girl friends all around 21 like me with kids. Truly the best group and I’ve never felt more loved and supported! You just gotta keep looking! Theres always someone going through pregnant alone like you, they can just be hard to find

I don’t think it’s exclusive to young mums ❤️ I’m 28, and I feel lonely ❤️

It's acc refreshing to see that I'm not overthinking, I thought maybe it was me isolating myself because I'm so tired and worn out easily 😂 but also many of my friends are still in that phase of partying and that's gladly not happening for me x

Pregnancy is lonely, till you give birth to your best friend ❤️, never feel loneliness again xx

Yes! It’s like borderline being disabled. I can’t walk for long cause my back starts hurting. I get tired so early & easily. I can’t drink. I can’t eat sushi. Can’t do the heavy workouts I used to do. Can’t travel (saving money preference). In addition all my friend’s work schedules r all different. Plus my partner is probably sick of my mood swings at times haha luckily I’ve been trying to meet new friends in Peanut but it’s still tough with juggling life.

Thanks girls x I went out today with my mates and while I left early cause I felt tired I was glad I got to hang out with them.
Kind of made me realise that even if I don't hang out with those same friends or go out anymore that I'm not missing out on anything x

Yh it sucks cos your not able to do what everyone else does at our age, or if you do your not on the same wavelength in life anymore, being a first time mum it’s hard to find mum friends too
