Regret Bottle feeding

During pregnancy I was adamant I didn’t want to breastfeed, I tried expressing for 3 weeks however it was too demanding so I stopped.
From my baby being 9 weeks old I’ve started to regret bottle feeding my baby and I now wish I had breastfed instead. He’s now almost 4 months so my supply has gone.

I felt a slight pressure to formula feed as most of the people in my family are somewhat against breastfeeding. I’m not sure if it’s due to having to get your boobs out in public occasionally or what but everyone suggested I bottle feed.

So I’m wondering if anyone else has every felt like this?

I couldn’t breastfeed my first born for more than 2 weeks as it was very overwhelming and regretted it later as I just feel bottle feeding is so much more work. However, with my second one I breastfed for three months and he just stopped latching on gradually and wanted to take bottle as I was giving him one bottle to top up everyday. He’s four months now and I muss breastfeeding, but sometimes its just not in your hand. As long as your baby is fed and healthy it’s all good ❤️

Against breastfeeding?? That’s literally what breast are for … to feed our babies..

I’m sorry that you were pressured into bottle feeding, when deep down you wanted to give breastfeeding a go. It’s a shame in some countries that bottle and formula feeding is promoted and supported above breastfeeding.

I find it really strange that people would push you to bottle feed over breastfeed. Breastfeeding is natural and has the most benefits for baby. Im sorry you had to deal with that

You can always try to relactate! I am sorry you felt pressured one way or another

yeh my cousin was over breastfeeding her baby and after she left my mum and aunt had a few comments about it being demanding and you can’t get away from baby ect x

I think part of the pressure was because I still lived at home with my parents and my partner stayed too. I think I felt as though I would be judged by my parents if I breastfed but ever since moving out when baby was 8!weeks I regret not doing it anyways despite the judgement. Even while I was pumping and I was taking it to the freezing j would get looks from my mum x

I think when he have baby 2 I’ll give it another try since I won’t have the pressures from family and my partners there to support too x

Yes and you are more aware of everything the second time round and hence its easier to manage things

Hopefully all goes well for you ☺️

Naww and I think the thing too is some family members get carried away “wanting a turn to feed baby”
But in actual fact it’s YOUR baby and it’s normal and healthy to breastfeed, and your baby isn’t a doll to be passed around for people to play bottles with.
I think it’s so sad that people are judgemental against breastfeeding, because breastfeeding (when successful) is best for baby and mum. But as soon as you try to tell people that they scream at you that fed is best, which just dismisses the benefits of breastfeeding 😢

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7
