Crib transition

Just hit the 4 months. Are we crazy to transition to crib as well? I’ve been barely sleeping as is. It’s not like in my room I get more sleep (husband snores so loud) any tips for sleep training/guides? This is so rough. Had a few meltdowns already 😞

We are starting the transition too.. little dude has just outgrown his bassinet and needs more space 😅
I've been using the huckleberry app to try to help navigate sleep, but it's definitely been shifting this past week. All of his naps are 45 min or less.. nighttime is still okay but he just woke up 2 hours early.. so I have a feeling it'll continue changing 🙃😅

We just transitioned to crib! And he’s a few days before 4 months. He’s an early roller (rolls all over the place, back to front, front to back) and our bassinet says to move them when they start rolling. He loves his crib! It’s been a lot easier than I thought. We did start using a sleep sack about two weeks ago to get him used to it before transitioning into the crib.

@Niki try an earlier bedtime if he keeps waking early (if before 6 am)

We transition our boy who will be 4 months a few weeks back. He sleeps 8-10 hours but my man’s snoring would wake him up so we made the switch. It was easy, nursery rhymes and a warm bedroom we heat it up before bed.

We just did the transition last weekend. It wasn’t as bad as I thought, it’s been really good for my mental health to have the break. I just watch her on the monitor and she does so well! It’s been a few days and she’s only woken up in the middle of the night once!

@Emily this was right at 6am, usually he wakes up 730-8am. I'm hoping it was just a fluke though as it seems he has been hungrier lately too.. he fell back asleep right after a bottle 😅

This gives me hope. My girl moves everywhere in the bassinet. She was a great sleeper when swaddled I’m trying all the sacks and suits but she keeps hitting the side of the bassinet and startling herself. Did you transition slowly or just try it cold turkey? Any advice appreciated going on on 3.5 hours of sleep today…

we did the first nap of the day in the crib for a week, then did two naps a day and then did the full transition. Cold turkey may work for some babies but I think getting her familiar with the room and crib worked well for us!

my daughter goes to daycare and uses a crib there. She loves her room. I guess I can try doing her last nap of the day there if she chooses to take one before bed. Definitely will try naps in there this weekend if we don’t transition before

you can do it!! I cried the first night. My daughter was fine. Have a book or a fave tv show at the ready. I was so confused on what to do without her sleeping next to me LOL

@Niki after 0600 is morning! I'd try to do some more frequent day feeds to help avoid it, could just be a growth spurt! My guy wakes up and plays for 30-45 min before wanting to eat some mornings!

Not drinking

I’m going crazy. Baby born at 2.26kg. Slow to put on weight. This last week hasn’t put on any. Been trying to feed him at night and he’s not interested at all. Fast asleep. During day he will have 5 minute gulps and that’s it. He don’t cry for milk. I’ve got to keep offering to him. I try to offer it every hour but I don’t know what I’m doing. HV said nutrition comes after 5 minutes so I should pump first and then give him. I find it so hard. I tried to pump one boob nothing came. The other abit came. Tried giving him express he’s not interested in that too. Sometimes he will go for a longer a feed but not long at all. He’s 4 months and is currently 5.46kg. I have no family or friend support here and wish I had a cook, cleaner and nanny to help with everything so I can concentrate on the little one. I don’t know what’s wrong with him but I’m loosing it. It doesn’t help that my also stressed generally about my relationship and life circumstances. Any advice that will work. Any comfort you can give. I’m fed up. Is this regression - not feeding. He’s fast fast asleep. I’ve been trying to push the nipple in but that mouth is closed shut. I took some clothes off. Changed his nappy but he’s still asleep. Please help

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
