Should I be concerned?

Mine is saying less than this. She can understand loads though. Do you think your LO understands you? I honestly think the talking will come with time, they are still babies.

Aww gosh ok maybe I’m being a bit paranoid then! He can definitely understand me like I’ll say arms up to get his tops and vests off and he immediately puts his arms up, I was told by a friend that he should be saying things like hi and bye, ball duck etc by now and i was like … oh hahaha he can understand perfectly to the word NO also 🤣

I read somewhere that 1-5 words up to 18 months is pretty average I think? Some babies speak loads at this age I know, mine definitely doesn’t but she verbalises a fair bit and I can tell she’s listening and trying to say some words. Sounds like your little one is doing just great ☺️

My little girl is 15 months end of this month too 😊 and we’ve so far had 1 definite word with intent. She repeats nothing, just looks at you like you’re mad 😂 and everything else is just noise. I read something about them doing ‘16 gestures by 16 months’ which is apparently a good indicator for speech development, my little girl can do most of them and so im just trying not to worry too much about the actual words x

My LB has said a few words but then stops saying them. It's never really repeated. The only one he does repeat is Dada. He said bye once , said some animal sounds once and said thank you or Ta a few times. He hasn't really wanted to repeat a word once he's managed to do it.

My little one is saying about 7 words but most of them are more sounds that go with actions like ‘shhh’ with her finger to her lips ( when dogs bark) and uh oh when she drops things/ throws them on the floor. I think this is her preferred way of learning sounds. She understands absolutely everything though she’s just not ready to say many words back yet. It’s really normal at this age and the babies with big vocabularies are in the minority xx

My little one can say dada, sometimes it sounds like she says yeah, and I think mama is going to be the next word, she’s trying! I’ve seen a lot of people saying there little ones speech really developed around 18m

Mine only says dada, occasionally quack quack can say mumum but rarely

Mine say mama when sad but usually it’s BLAH BLAH BLAH. Now I’m feeling maybe I should be worried 😅
