Anyone else's partner jealous of the babys bond with the mum. My partner is constantly getting jealous of how baby wants me and of the bond she has with me. I'm always hearing him moaning that baby "should crave the father too" it's beginning to get on my nerves to be honest. It's like my partner is always competing for attention and always asking who baby girl likes more. Is anyone else's partner like this?!

No, he's got some personal issues. Maybe he should see a therapist?

My husband didn’t really get jealous, but more sad that he didn’t feel bonded to our baby at first. I was the only one that could soothe him for a while. I also exclusively breastfeed, so I always fed him and he just always wanted me around. My husband felt sad sometimes because he wanted to be able to have his own role, too, of doing something that baby needed. We made him in charge of all the diapers when he is home and that gave him a role of doing something that baby needed, which helped a lot. It seems like your partner might be hurt that the baby isn’t craving his attention yet. Babies need their mamas at this age, but the older my little one gets, the more he wants dad at awake time to play with!

My man a little bit complains about baby wanting me more. My response is always then go play with the baby more.
