Context he’s been awake since 9am and just going down for a sleep now 6pm/630pm with probably 30 minutes total sleep today - he’ll either just not fall asleep at all or he’ll fall asleep on me then just wake up, try put him down wake up, he’s not screaming crying the whole time to the point I think somethings bothering him he’s just wide awake but he does have periods of crying eventually which I’m putting down to overtired. Is this normal I’m getting really worried he’s 6 weeks and this has been like this since about 3 weeks for the majority of days!
At night he’ll usually then be out by 10 and wake up every 3-4 hours until morning so it’s not like he’s sleeping through either how is he managing on such little sleep!

My little girl is the same! She is awake most of the day and then gets overtired so will take a while to actually go to sleep in the evening but will then sleep around 4 or 5 hour stretches. She’s 7 weeks tomorrow xx

My LO has been the same for the last 5-6 days, I'm putting it down to him going through the first leap. As when he is awake during the day is really alert to what is going on around him xx

Hey girls, I thought I would share my little boys pattern which is the total opposite to you all through the day. He sleeps most of the day, wakes for feeds up until the last feed at 10/11pm. He can sometimes be overtired (different kind of tired to yours!) And be difficult to get to sleep and settle for bedtime at 10pm. He does eventually sleep and wakes up for his night feed. And will wake up 5/6am.
It's interesting to hear that you are experiencing the other way around and that staying awake most of the day isn't any different to my little boys night 'routine'. Because we have been hoping he stays more awake to be able to sleep earlier at night and longer. X
