Period type pain & labor

Hmm imma follow this, I've not gone into labour but I've had the period pains for about a week and a bit with no tightening at all, so hoping someone has an answer 😅

I asked my midwife about this today, she said it’s the cervix softing and thinning in preparation - all good signs she said 🤷🏻‍♀️😁

oo okay good as I’m 1cm atm and I had sweep lastnight so I’m hoping to try speed it up best I can I ate a curry which had kick to it and then started getting the period type pain xx

Yes my last labour started with period pains but I also had them in the weeks leading up to labour meaning I didn’t think anything of them at the time until I started timing them because they were coming regular and ramped up to contractions x
