Baby positioning

Has anyone been able to tell when their baby has got into position/ engaged? I've been so worried about it recently and panicking that she won't be ready and I'll need a c-section or something. I'm 36+4 weeks and have the midwife tomorrow who I know will check but I wondered if anyone had any obvious signs their baby was getting ready or how they feel generally?

My sign was sharp pains down there when trying to walk anywhere and now I feel like I’m walking with a balloon between my legs trying to stop it from popping 😅

Mine pushes her head just below my right rib. So I know she’s the wrong way still x

I have a lump under my ribs and it moves around alot. Think this would be her head? I always wonder if it's her bum as l feel like it's long, like fully goes into her back when I'm feeling my belly

This is me! I had it confirmed when I went for a scan last and then midwife a few weeks later also said was still her head. I was hoping for it to be her bum but it wasn’t. Does it feel round? Xx

A good way to test head vs bum is to push on it so that they move. If only that part moves, it’s likely a head. If that part moves and you also get a kick, it’s probably a bum 😂

Ah I really can't tell 😂😂 I've been feeling more pressure down below and when I rub under my belly it's like my ovaries on both sides get tugged or something is moving them if that makes sense! But generally I feel like I'm just solid all over at the top of my belly 🥲 panicking is getting real now haha x

I would try not to worry. It won’t change anything! See what the midwife reckons tomorrow. It’s getting a bit squished in there but they can still turn really late sometimes

I get a lot of lightning crotch and have done since baby has been head down! But everyone is different

(37+5 today). This baby’s bum has always been right up in my ribs. Then he’s really low all of a sudden. The midwife told me because it’s my second baby it’s common for them bob up and down and not even engage at all before labour! So that reassured me. My first came @38+4 but this baby feels way too comfy in there and I have very little hope he’ll be here next week 😬🤣🥲

Baby’s don’t need to engaged at all in order to go into labour so don’t panic! I’m hoping this is my VBAC baby after a very traumatic emergency c section so I want everything to go as it should and his bum being in my ribs give me anxiety, but knowing they don’t have to engage puts me at ease!! 😅🥰

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

Owlet

Anyone else’s owlet pi##ing them off ?!?! It goes off 5/6 a night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off!!
