Anyone's 11month old still not crawling? My little boy had his 10month check last week and he is borderline delayed in gross motor as he is unable to crawl, pull to stand, sofa surf etc but they just want to monitor for a couple of months when they will call me for an update on his progress. He would rather just roll around than spend any time on his tummy. 2 months seems miles away and he will be almost 13 months by then. Has anyone's little one been referred for physio for this reason? Doesn't look like I can self refer so would have to be through them or a gp. Any reassurance from anyone whose baby showed no signs but then one day just suddenly done it?

At the start of last week, we had our 9-12 appointment and scored 0 in that section. My little boy can get anywhere through rolling. So that's his way preferred way of moving around. He could sit from laying down, but that was it.
And out of nowhere, at the weekend, he started pulling to stand and getting onto his knees. He still isn't crawling, although he will happily stand on his feet for ages. I think he will just walk and not crawl.
The health visitor didn't seem too concerned at his 9-12 months appointment (although this was via teams š). She said she was happy with him in everything else, so she wasn't concerned. She said she would call in April and check again.
I'm sure it will come when he's ready ā¤ļø I'm enjoying the stillness for now š

Same , my boy is nearly 11months and doesnāt crawl , doesnāt pull him self up on things ect , will happily stand up on his feet when I hold him , and just rolls around everywhere, Iām not worried though , heāll do it when heās ready , some babyās skip crawling all together, Iām not in any baby race and not stressing over a piece of paper they implies every single baby is the same and all must do thing by a certain age , they say some babyās donāt walk till 18months anyway , my boy is completely happy and no signs of disabilityās at all and is extremely good with communication over mobility ie crawling/ walking

My baby is 1 next week. She drags herself around and can get from her front to sitting but sheās not properly crawling, doesnāt pull herself up and has no internet in being on her feet. She has her 9-12 month appointment tomorrow so Iāll see what the HV says but I just think sheās taking her sweet time. Sheād rather sit on the sofa and look at a book than walk - just like me! š¤£

My lo is 1 on thursday and only just started bum shuffling šš it's literally been the last week or so and he's just off! they'll do it in their own time! enjoy it while they're not on the move, i wished and wished him to be on the move, and now, as much as i love it, it's hard work 𤣠xx

Mine is crawling but is delayed in his gross motor (walking, feeding himself from a bottle etc), is he excelling in other aspects? Mine is excelling in fine motor skills. He all of a sudden just crawled, no signals or signs x x

HV didnāt even say anything for our LG.
Sheās not crawling & canāt sit up herself from lying down.
In the past week sheās trying to pull on our clothes to try and stand but thatās it.
HV said theyāre walkers or talkers & my little girl never shuts up š

My 11mo is a bum shuffler which I love.
But can't crawl, get up from lying, pull up to stand. Personally I don't feel concerned.x

Thank you all for your replies and reassurance. I know all babies develop differently and he's great with his fine motor and communication but I worry that he's missing out. I find it so hard going to baby groups and seeing much younger babies on the move whilst he just sits there. My friends like taking their babies to soft play, but as he's the only one not on the move, it makes it difficult as they're off climbing and we're left sat in the corner watching. Hopefully it will all click soon. X

I feel exactly the same! I hated going to sensory class as loads of the babies my LGs age or younger were crawling around everywhere.
I just keep telling myself itās not a race & sheāll crawl or walk when sheās ready.

It's horrible, isn't it. And I keep telling myself that and I feel OK about it when we're at home. I just want the best for him, though he does seem very happy just rolling around š

did your baby start to crawl? Mine is 13 months and still not crawling so I was just interested to see if/when yours did! x

@Katie, yes, he started to army crawl at 11.5 months and was crawling on all fours at 13.5 months. Soon after crawling on all 4s, he was pulling to stand and cruising. I started taking him to see a chiropractor not long after this post, and that helped massively as she relieved the tightness in his body, which was making him unable to move. He is now 16.5 months and not walking unaided yet but only needs to lightly hold onto my finger, so I'm hoping it won't be too long. X

Forgot to mention, after reaching out to my health visitor again, they did refer him to physio which has also helped put my mind at ease that there's not anything physically "wrong". So if you're worried, maybe message them or go to a drop-in clinic to discuss. X
