Hi mamas. I’m in need of serious advice. I don’t really know what or how to feel. I just found out I’m pregnant and my little girl is 13 months. This was unplanned. I have found having a baby extremely hard and was planning on leaving at least 3 years age gap. I had sever ppa and ppd, my relationship got absolutely fucked, kinda fell out of love with my husband, and my baby (bless her) is extremely difficult. I’m extremely attached to my daughter and she is to me, I don’t want to ruin this bond. My mental health got fucked the past year and I just finally started feeling like myself and looking forward for life. I’ll be due in oct 2024. Abortion is against my religion, but I worry that I won’t be a good mother to either of my kids after being so traumatised from everything that happens with my first. Not to mention that my in laws bullied me ever since I got pregnant and till this day. I wasn’t even sure if I wanted another baby with my husband. I hate feeling so negative but I genuinely don’t know what to do or what to feel. Oh and this birth would have to be a c section because I cant give birth vaginally this time. I wanted my first baby so bad but this time round I feel the opposite 😢😢😢😢

I would really recommend you call PANDAs team for a chat so you can openly talk about your situation and what your options are.
I’m not religious so I don’t know what it’s like to have another layer of rules to abide by, but as much as your bond with this baby will probably grow I think you do need to seriously consider if it’s a step too far when you are still healing mentally from your first child.
I’m not sure how you ever reach a decision on something as big as this but I do think talking openly and honestly will help you consider all aspects. Sending you strength x

I feel you on this one. I am seeing myself just reading this.
I was/am in the exact same situation.
I found out I was pregnant (not planned) while I was still deciding on how best to go about having at least 4 years gap from the first one.
At that point I was also having little misunderstanding with my partner and wanted to just have a bit of space.
I almost passed out when I saw I was pregnant!
Went to the GP and they said I could get an abortion if I wanted, I said no as my own religion is against that AND most importantly, my whole being was not comfortable with that.
I won't lie, at some point I kept telling myself I could just do the abortion and be over with it because there were just so many things on the line!...

I'm glad I was able to overcome that feeling. Now, I'm some months in and I cannot even trade this for anything!
I have this growing bond with the baby and the first time I saw baby on the scan, I balled my eyes and begged my body to forgive me for ever thinking about an abortion in the first place.
I'm also gradually accepting that I MAY get a c-section as I had gained a lot of weight from the last baby I have not been able to shed.
Also, I know I want 2 kids, but not this close; but it has happened and so I will give my best to them both and I will accept all the support I get from partner or anyone else.
I don't even intend to tell a lot of people about the pregnancy and if anyone tries to say something unpleasant, I ignore them.....

I have also decided that right after this baby, I would just go ahead and get sterilised so that I know I won't have to go beyond the 2.
I just keep reminding myself that the little gap in between would even make it a lot sweeter for them to bond well and be there for each other while growing up 🤗
They are definitely going to get all the love from myself and my partner and from the both of them 🤗
I know we all can only tell you what we think, but at the end of the day, it's what you decide that you would do. Whatever your choice is, let it just be the best for you/your health etc.
You can reach out to me privately if you want to chat with someone to share your feelings with as I totally feel the same way and taking steps to do better and bringing the positive emotions forward while growing baby bond....

thank you so much. I know that in the long run it will be better, I’m close in age with my siblings and it was really nice being in school together etc. but my mental health has suffered so much. I’m just worried about what I’ll become 😢
I will defo give them a ring. Thank you. It’s just so scary, I only just started feeling myself after one of the most difficult 2 years 😭

Hold onto your faith girl! God does not put you into challenges you can not get through. Surrender to god and let him take your fear and worry, he’s got it!!! 💕 the beautiful baby in your womb needs you as much as you need them, you will prosper. No bad thing has ever come from life. You will love them just as you love your daughter now. It will be hard, but you can do it. Your two babies will know their mama started a legacy and they will have each other. You do not know in 3 years you will have another kid. Easier said than done I had ppd and ppa but I’ve learned that when I put it on god I can breathe again
