Pumping during the night?

For those mamas who are breastfeeding. Once your little one starts sleeping through the night, are you still getting up during the night to pump? If so, how often? Obviously I would like to sleep through the night, but I've always heard to try not to go over 6 hours without breastfeeding/pumping.

He doesn't sleep through the night, but if I've put him down and used one side exclusively for several feedings so I'm full on the other side, I hand express into haaka and pour that into a bag or bottle to save it( and usually stick it in the mini fridge)

It’s rare he sleeps through the whole night but he has gone 7 hours here and there I don’t wake up to pump . On the rare occasion I get lucky and he sleeps 8 hours I don’t wake up to pump. Definitely feel the pain when I do wake up but then usually just have to pump after he nurses to fully empty!

I don't EBF but have been pumping along with breastfeeding her for her morning feed. I typically get up just once to pump. I personally tried going 8 hours and noticed a small dip in my supply. I would also be extremely full by that 8 hour mark and little one would have a hard time latching with how hard they'd be. So I guess it would depend on how long you'd be going, and how comfortable you'd be with how full you got, and comfortable with possibly a small dip in supply.

here in the past couple of days my little girl seems like she wants to sleep through the night but I have been waking her up to feed at the 6 month mark since we were worried about her gaining weight. Now that she is gaining weight now, I'm thinking about letting her sleep through the night if she wants. But every time I wake her up to feed, I notice I am pretty full and sometimes it is hard for her to latch. So I'm thinking pumping might be necessary, at least once.

Baby started sleeping through the night at 6m. I would pump around 8pm to get 1-2oz to mix in puréed but that didn’t last long.

So now she nurses around 7:30 pm and no nursing or pumping until 6:30 am.

She has been going up in percentiles and weighted feeds show she’s drinking the same mls

Honestly, I wish I had gotten up once at night to pump. My supply plummeted after my little guy started sleeping through the night. At 8 months, I've accepted that my breastfeeding journey is over☺️

it is rough to do for sure, but sometimes necessary to continue with the journey. My schedule has me pumping at 7:30pm, 11:45pm/12am, and then I wake her to breastfeed at 5:30am. We put her to bed at 6;30, I go to bed around 8:30. There are times I have missed the 5 alarms that I set to get me up, and so I end up needing to pump a little bit to relieve the hardness before I feed her and unfortunately when I do that she doesn't feed as well 🤷‍♀️ it's weird. But chose 11:45 to kind of split my night and get at least one good stretch of sleep.

My baby sleeps through the night, usually 10-13 hours. I don’t pump or feed at all during the night.
He goes to bed around 7, then I just pump before I go to bed and then i’m okay!

My LO sleeps 8pm-7am. I pump at 11pm and again at 3am🤦🏽‍♀️ it takes discipline but i fear not doing it may affect my supply because i am under the same impression to not wait too long. Everyone’s bodies are so different so it’s hard to know what is right for you.

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?

Strange question

Hello. I would identify myself as asexual but yes i am married and i have a child. But now that ive had my baby. I think its solidified that im done having sex. I feel bad as my partner keeps asking me but i just dont want to. Any advice on what i can do? Any other asexual moms out there? I guess this could be confusing but im not huge on being bound by a label. I have just always felt it represented me best since highschool.
