Anyone else’s little one doesn’t like touching food? Especially pasta he has never preferred touching it and it’s getting to me because pasta is such a staple easy dish to make. He used to eat it mashed up abit from me spoon feeding him, as he never liked touching most food. But now he spits it out.
Any tips on whether I can get him to try it or he just genuinely doesn’t like it and I should give up??

Maybe try give him a fork so he can do it himself or try a new sauce / different pasta
I have tried all those 😪

How old is he? Not wanting to touch food can be a sign of sensory disorder. If it's just pasta and no other food then he problem doesn't like it but if there are more foods he just won't touch I'd ask your doctor if there's anything that can be done to help
He’s almost 2. Yesterday and today I did some sensory play with him and got him to play with pasta and noodles. Today he was much better but still didn’t put any in his mouth which I was hoping for 🥲 I’m hoping exposure therapy will work if I just keep trying to give these options every now and then for lunch/ dinner. In the past I’ve completely given up and now he’s been exposed to pasta after ages
Just want to update that my little one ate abit of pasta tonight 🙌🏼🙌🏼 i think the sensory play really helped!
