Anyone else seriously struggling?!

Almost 33 weeks pregnant now and I am feeling so fed up. My hips and knees ache and I feel literally exhausted constantly!!! This is my second pregnancy and I don’t remember getting it this bad although I know you tend to block it out 😅.

My husband is away for 5 days and I have my 18 month old to look after (who also doesn’t sleep though the night), I work part time and I have two very active larger dogs that need at least an hour proper walk in the woods every day. I’m finding it a serious struggle to manage now. My husband is back tomorrow but goes away again for work in a week for another 4 days. The thought of it makes me want to cry!!

Is anyone else feeling the same? Anyone have any tips on the juggling act?!

Thanks 😊

I feel the exact same way! I’ve found my second pregnancy sooo much harder than my first! I’m constantly sore and exhausted and working full time still and I’m honestly just done in with it all but going to talk to my midwife today as I am really struggling now xx

I feel your pain! I’m 35 weeks pregnant, this is my first and I’m struggling with aches and pains especially at night! I’m also waking up a lot in the night to wee so my sleep is very broken from tossing and turning!

When do you start maternity leave? hopefully things will get better then.xx

Oh bless you. I'm with you!! 3rd pregnancy and I'm 35 now so definitely gets harder with each baby and age 😆 I'm only 32 weeks on Friday and I tipped myself over the edge by taking the smalls to a theme park yesterday and I'm a zombie today 😭 What was I thinking 😅
You've got this though mama! Keep strong, baby is nearly here!

Yes!
Also almost 33w, work full time and have a nearly 14m old that’s been walking since November so he runs everywhere now, have a dog and husband just gone skiing for 6 days😅😂
Pelvic girdle pain is back also but I can’t get in for reflexology until next week!
So…
I’ve taken the week off of work, taken the 14m out of nursery (probably wasn’t a good idea😂), the dog is at my parents & I think I’m going to join him there for a few days.
Have you got any family or friends that can help out?
At least with the dogs for now? Xx

I’ve just hit 32 weeks and I am sooooo tired and working full time still, really want to just start mat leave early but I know I’ll drive myself crazy waiting for this baby to come without a distraction. I dunno how you’re doing it with a toddler tho gal hats off to you. Have you got any family near by that can help you manage while your husband is away?

I've banned my husband from work trips now I'm 31 weeks 😆 he's going away only for one night next week and I'm dreading it and I don't have dogs to walk on top of that, just an active 22 month old. No tips as such except I feel your pain! Just got to put your feet up at every opportunity. And let your husband know you need help now, no more work trips!

Same and its also my second pregnancy. Very different experience when you have a toddler. Especially when he brings in new diseases from the nursery every week. Currently struggling with covid. 😭

Have you had your bloods checked with iron/ferritin?

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

Homebirth?

I am thinking I want a homebirth (second baby) for a few different reasons but my husband is very against it, he is worried about things going wrong and we are a 30 minute drive from the hospital. Has anyone been in a similar position and what did you end up doing? Any advice? 🙏

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
