Feeding food to my LG has become a nightmare. It was never a problem until a month ago when she got unwell. She literally has 2-3 spoons and then starts crying. Its every morning and every lunch. Sometimes she doesn't even want a spoon. I really don't understand what's happened. She used to love food. I've tried different foods every day and trying to feed her alot later so she's extra hungry. Mornings are the worse and I end up breaking down because I'm so tired of trying and so much food goes to waste. Everyone tells me its teething but its been 1+ month now. I've had to increase her milk intake to ensure her weight is the same. I'm so fed up but I really hope she goes back to the foodie baby she was 😔

My boys exactly the same currently!! He’s gone back to having more milk than food, I try to feed him but he’s so uninterested, I have to put miss Rachel on tv to try and distract him, sometimes works!!
I've contemplated doing that but she jams her mouth shut lol its baffles me how much she used to love different foods to now not being interested at all. I hope it doesn't impact their taste buds 😦

Hopefully just a fussy phase - my LO is being properly fussy with lunch and dinner, but quite consistently good with breakfast. I’ve found she’s better with things broken up into small pieces than large BLW style pieces (omelette, mozzarella etc) and she’s definitely more interested in feeding herself with the spoon than letting me do it. But last week she was having nearly a whole banana at lunchtime (after savoury food) and this week bring a banana anywhere near her face and she pretend coughs and gags! She’s also been a bit ill so maybe things taste funny. We’ll all get through it am sure!

We had couple of these fussy phases but didn’t last that long. Both around week. Those times she just wanted to nurse, would refuse even her favourite fruit pouches. I think with us, it was teething.
Can you check her mouth? I know seems like mission impossible, but if she is crying it maybe linked to teething, perhaps infection or something like that.
thanks for sharing. I have also noticed that when I put things infront of my LG she tends to pick it up and eat it herself - but its literally one strip of toast or small slice of apple. Its hardly anything to what she used to have (an entire bowl of porridge or oats) so I can't help but get worried! Loool at her pretending to gag and cough, how smart are they!
hey thanks for your advice, i actually have looked and everything seems fine. I can see her top gums are white so possibly teething but I guess I didn't expect it to last so long. Its like after 3 spoons she automatically cries/whinges and then refuses any more!

We’ve definitely dropped in appetite - wondering if maybe she was going through a spurt or a leap when she was eating like crazy and now she’s realised she doesn’t need as much! She’s not crying for food/bottles or dehydrated, but I am getting frustrated!
Haha I wish she wouldn’t, I mashed some into her porridge yesterday and she ate it no issues, so she’s definitely doing it on purpose little madam 🙈😂
