How to stop cat from sleeping in baby cot/crib?

So my cat seems to think the baby stuff is for her 😬 baby is not here yet. I have caught her trying to get into cot and crib for naps! I have to keep getting her out and close the bedroom doors 24/7 and cover baby stuff. How can I deter her!? 😳

My cats used to do the same and i just covered the cot with a big blanket and then threw some pillows in it. Also we baby arrived they stayed out of the bedroom willingly for 10 months πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Lol oh boy I don’t mean to laugh but maybe Cat is like β€œgive me my spot back!” πŸ˜‚

I filled the crib with all of babies possessions, made sure it wouldn't be comfortable either, then when baby arrived baby was in it that often the cat lost interest

@Cristina horrified of what she might leave in there...creepy crawlies and so called "gifts" from outside

Lol funny, I'm looking for a place where a degree actually matters πŸ˜‚

Let me know when you find out because my son is about to be 8 months and that cats are still obsessed with him and his things πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

oh haha , mine are indoors so no chance of that happening xx

that was bit too much no? They maybe indoor even probably outdoors but cats are most clean animal. They won’t put rat head as a gift on the crib. Your comment made me upset. I have 4 cats who I rescued and live happily indoors now. They sleep on my tummy or keep hugging it whole night. It is a beautiful feeling.

I know this is a tough pill to swallow, but I’m a be honest here if the cat starts to invade on the baby space when the baby arrives bye-bye Cat L O L

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. πŸ₯Ί

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? πŸ₯²

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Combi feeding advice

Has anyone gone from EBF to combi feeding? Currently do one bottle of EBM per night and they one half formula half breast milk mixed in the day. The other times she still feeds on me. Ideally I want to feed all day via bottle and all night with breast. She’s 7 weeks and takes a bottle well, how long should I leave it before adding another bottle to her daily routine?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated πŸ₯°
