Nursing Queen! Their clothes are great quality. Some have a little flap or there’s a zipper right at your boob for easy access. My BIL didn’t even notice I was nursing until I had to put a blanket over myself to pop my boob back in.

i have a few tops from latched mama that i really like and i prefer the nursing covers that have a strap around my neck so i can cover myself and still peek in without worrying about the cover falling

@Breanna thank you this is helpful!

@Jessica thank you! yeah I think I'm just getting in my head that everyone is going to be staring but I guess you don't really notice unless you bring attention to it

I get your fear. I still haven’t attempted in public, but knowing I was doing it while talking to someone and he had no clue, that definitely made me feel a little more confident.

Love all this advice cause I have been pumping a fresh bottle before going in public.

Ekouaer from Amazon are my favorite shirts!! I nurse anywhere and everywhere I go 😂 I have zero shame. Gotta feed my baby!

I found that wearing a combo of nigh waisted jeans and a fitted tank top works for me! I lift the shirt up from the bottom instead of the top and I feel less exposed that way. But also I totally have no shame either. Last time I fed in public, a lady came up to me and told me that she loved that I was feeding in public and that there shouldn’t be any stigma :)

same! I’ve only ever had women compliment me and never had anyone say anything bad. I’ve even breastfed in front of stranger men🤷🏼‍♀️ the breastfeeding shirts make it where you can’t see anything and the baby’s on your nipple so not much is exposed. I’ve seen more boobs at a beach 😁

I pull my shirt up so my boobs are technically covered
I've now been breastfeeding for 16 months so I no longer feel weird about it so I think for some people the weird feeling goes away if that helps

Avatar

@Nevaeh thanks it does I guess it just that I have size G/H boobs when they are full so there's a little more maneuvering I have to do to get my little one to latch which makes me have to expose more than I'd want but I guess the weird feeling will go away I'll have to get over it haha

Avatar

I'm sorry, I wish it wasn't made to be such a weird thing to do in public honestly, you're feeding your kid it's a great thing and the kids gotta eat lol

tank top under a baggy shirt works wonders for me. pull my boob out of the top of the tank top and lift up my shirt just enough and the shirt rests on top of baby’s head and you can’t see a thing. i just struggle bc i still have to wear nipple shields 😭

Avatar

@Samantha that's a good idea I should try that. I'm so sorry to hear about the nipple shields wish I had some advice to help with that

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

Am I wrong?

I’ve been wanting to add more garden beds to my garden. Husband says “hey do you want to go to Home Depot to get that wood for the garden beds.” Cool I’m excited I’ve been wanting to get this done for awhile.

We get there and we’re picking out wood and I make 2 comments about how I don’t like how 2 pieces of wood look that he picked out. And he says if you’re going to be this picky then u can do this yourself.

I literally made 2 comments and mind you I’m the one paying for the wood.

I felt dismissed and like my opinion didn’t matter and if I wanted to have an opinion then I need to do it myself. Like what?

It was rude and not okay. Am I wrong? Am I overreacting?

He thinks it was fine that he said that.

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
