No paperwork or Mat B1 given at 20 week scan

I’ve just had my 20 week scan today and was talked through the results (all normal thankfully) but wasn’t given any paperwork with them on or my Mat B1, is this normal?

You will get it at your next midwife appointment, your midwife is who gives it to you, if you need it sooner you can contact her and ask

I needed to give work 15 weeks notice of when I wanted to take maternity leave so contact your midwife to make sure you’ll have it if you’re in the same situation

I was actually given mine at both a midwife appt and 20w scan. I think you may have to ask though to remind them or they might not remember that you need it. X

You'll legally need to inform your work by 15 weeks what matleave you're planning to take so I would contact your midwife services to ask for it asap x

thanks everyone for the replies, I think my next midwife appointment might be after the 25 week mark so will be sure to chase up the Mat B1 so that I have the 15 weeks notice for work, will my midwife be likely to be able to send me a copy of the stats from the 20 week scan (more just out of interest) also can’t log into badgernotes at the minute for some reason so that’s a pain!

Sorry, I meant 15 weeks before your due date. I should read my comments back before commenting x

Contact you midwife as it may be something they give you at your next appointment. Or just accidentally missed. Talk to your maternity coordinator if you can’t get an answer from your midwife :)

You can always ask your midwife for you MATB1, I needed it for work at 20 weeks so I text my midwife and she left it at my drs reception for me to collect, always worth an ask🤷🏻‍♀️ and at your 20 week scan they don’t usually discuss anything unless there’s a problem that I’m aware of? I’d just wait until you can log onto badger notes, but if there’s nothing wrong there may not be much on there anyway! Mine just has the estimated weight of baby and where my placenta is x

Hospital bag (UK)

What did everyone pack for their section? I'm staying in for 3 days due to mental health, not really sure what I'll need to bring, feeling very nervous. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Pregnancy after c section

What time scale did everyone get pregnant again after a c section?
I know the doc said they recommend eating at least a year to 18 months but it took 4 years to get pregnant the first time after being told we could not conceive naturally so not wanting to stop it happening knowing it could take a very long time again but also worried.

Labour

Think im a bit confused really, i went into traige as was having contractions eveey 3-5mins. Since being here im now having them every 2-3mins which was confirmed with the machine and i think the toco was 90-100 and they feel painful and my lower back is in loads of pain but apparently im only just over 2cm dilated maybe, she has said i can stay here for a bit longer to see if things progress as had a previous quick birth as well but i dont understand why the pains are coming this quick if im only 2cm dilated and feel a bit deflated from it also.

I had a sweep this morning also.

C section trauma ?

Is it a thing to be traumatised by a c section delivery? I’m 4 weeks pp after having an emergency c section. I won’t go into the ins and outs to what got me there 😂
Nothing went wrong in the surgery at all, it was just incredibly intense, overwhelming and scary, but luckily my baby was delivered safe!
However I’m finding my birth experience quite difficult to even think about and when I do, I feel a horrid gut wrenching feeling, my heart aches and I just uncontrollably cry! My body feels really alien to me, like it’s not my own and I just feel really let down.
