Hi, I would currently consider myself “scrunchy” but want to work my way more toward being “crunchy”.
What are some approachable ways to move in that direction?

The first thing I would do is switch to more non toxic cleaning supplies! I make my own cleaning solution, floor cleaner, and use non toxic laundry detergent. also natural healing for sickness, i make a fire cider when im sick and also take oregano oil and some herbs to boost immunity naturally. and eating healthier is a good way, making sure you’re not buying foods with seed oils and chemicals/preservatives

Use homeopathy and embrace your inner "antivaxxer" 😂

That really depends on what you're already doing. Just start with what you're doing and slowly add more to it to be healthier. I can't really give suggestions without knowing what you're doing. But my first thought is always zero waste and clean food.

@Marie good to know. I have no interest in going full on crunchy I guess lol

Heres what I did to become more crunchy: Download ewg app and search up products that you have/ are looking to buy. Some brands like ATTITUDE make the majority of their products ewg certified. I aim for most of my products to be certified. Get rid of your fake scented candles, air freshners, laundry softners, scented laundry detergent, car scents, and perfumes. Basically, anything that has a scent ask yourself if the fragrance is fake. Switch to essential oils for scent. Take a look at your diet, switch to more whole organic foods( this switch tends to be expensive). See if your cookwear is PFAS free. Usually, only enameled cast iron and stainless steel is. Toss all plastic containers unless specifically BPA and BPS free. Switch to glass or stainless steel. Take a look at your clothes and your babies clothes, are they mostly synthetic or made from cotton and linen. Think about air quality in your home. Should you get an air purifier. Buy from places that care about sustainability.

Also think about essential vitamins like high dose vitamin D, B complex, Coq10, K complex, omegas, probiotics, prebiotics, vitamin C, trace minerals, and magnesium.

Anti poke, download the app Yuka and you can scan every barcode and it will give it a rating of how bad it is and what Chemicals or metals are in product - it’s amazing and free.
Non plastic toys- wood and silicone better option, toys from love every for development. Stay away from folic acid in any foods or anything that says “enriched” such as wheat products. I only buy spaghetti from Italy bc America always throws in folic acid “enriched” and it’s one of the causes of major issues like ADD. I would also lean more towards making meat stocks, diet mainly of beef, beef liver and organ meat, beef marrow. Incredible for brain and gut.
No Teflon as said above- use aluminum pans - you can get them non stick - look up how on YouTube.
Never use or cook with seed oils - canola, and I mean all seed oils. Use avocado oil from brand chosen for high heat cooking as well as beef tallow, duck fat, and ghee. Butter and olive oil on lower heat. Also test your olive oil - most have seed oils

How you test the olive oil is put a bit in a glass and throw in cold fridge if it thickens all the way it’s real olive oil, if there is still liquid it’s fake or seed oils are added.
High fat, high saturated fats are super food, no low fat, raw cows milk is GOLD. Here’s how to find a local farmer in your area for raw milk - https://www.realmilk.com/raw-milk-finder/
Less screen time - sensory overload for kids, allow the kid to be bored sometimes and do what Europeans do.. fit the child into YOUR life. If you cook make them help, make it a game.
Don’t allow kids to be too close to EMFs!! Grounding is awesome walk barefoot in grass or natural stone. Wear shoes that allow your toes to splay out “barefoot shoes”
I never eat oats/oatmeal - so and for you. Raises blood glucose as much as a coke.
Lots of eggs with the yolk!! Pasture raised eggs.
It’s a lot - sorry trying to be helpful

Oh yes and someone mentioned earlier- use natural fibers for clothes/ sheets/ blankets only - cotton, linen, wool, cashmere
polyester is made from petroleum and chemicals - really low frequency
I wash all our clothes together in mollys suds powder detergent and use mollys suds dish detergent. I sterilize all the bottles in sterilizer with distilled water, never use fluoride! Check your waters. No toothpaste with fluoride either - lowers IQ and more. Filter all water from heavy metals and chlorine

Would love to help you.
