Anyone else’s baby that isn’t really quite ready to eat any purées or showing any interest? My son will be 6 months on the 29th and I feel like he is not showing any interest still lol just curious

I started my baby on the pacifiers that have fruit inside then soon after she started getting curious. Maybe try with that first?

Yeah my girl doesn’t really care either. Tried avocado today and she was fine but mostly just wanted to lick the spoon. She chugged down about 2 oz of chicken broth though! Loves “chewing” on carrot and celery sticks. Figured I could get her used to the taste. Letting it happen organically :)

What age can they start chewing on carrot? He's almost 7m but no teeth yet

Mine has only enthusiastically eaten spinach puree and tomato puree. (I make them at home with just the fruit/veg and breast milk)
Everything else he has been completely ambivalent too, he doesn’t seem particularly motivated and is content nursing still, so we’re not rushing him yet

Get a grip spoon and dip it in baby yogurt or purée. My baby loves feeding herself I just dip it in her food.

My pediatrician told me to start introducing him to veggie purées… and might I say he loved it. He just hit 6 months today and eats 2 jars full and will direct you with his eyes when he wants a bite and when he wants a drink of milk to wash it down🤣

My baby has zero interest and we try food almost every day. She gags or spits it out. Straight up HATES it lol.

Mine turned 6 months last Saturday, and isn’t ready yet. (We’re waiting till just over 7 months since that’s when his adjusted age will be 6 months, and we follow the wait till 6 months for solids). He still has his tongue thrust reflex and can’t sit independently, so if he’s not doing that, we’ll wait even longer
