Anyone little ones hit the 4 month sleep regression yet?

I think we are in full swing....waking after an hour of being put down. Not fully settling. I feel like everything is all over the place. We were down to 2 wake ups at night which was bloody lovely!
Went to about 7 wake ups overnight. I've now started to co sleep...I never did with my first one but I can't cope with zero sleep if I don't have my 2nd in my bed. I just stress out massively that I'm never going to be able to get him out 😂😂😂 I love my own space and that's that. Happy to have him in with me to get over this but soon as he's ready I'd like him back in his own bed. Some people enjoy their little ones in bed with them until they are older but that's not me.
Just wondered if anyone else's little one is going through it and how you are handling it??

I'm just here to say that I'm doing the same and feel the same! Just surviving so I have some energy to look after my eldest as well. I saw a post about pausing to see if they settle before you swoop in and also just keep practising putting them down in their sleep space. If they're upset just sack it off and try again another time 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Rachel yeah I try to leave him but just gets inconsolable. I put him down in his sleep space and he gets beside himself. Maybe putting down too late. I'll work something out 😂 I'm glad I'm not the only one! He usually comes in about 5am but last night it was 10pm last night 😂 but he woke at 12,3 and 6 for feeds so I can't complain!!

I always try at the start of the night but he keeps having false starts until I put him on the bed 🙈 then it'll be 2 hourly wake ups. It's brutal isn't it 😂

funny how they sleep so much better and their cot is literally next to us 😂

yes!! My LO is now waking up every 1-2 hours , this has been happening for 3/4 weeks now. She was sleeping 7-8 hour stretches before 😭xx

At the 3 month growth spurt, waking up for feeds every 1-2 hours through the night. Nipples are so sore! Surely 4 month regression can't be worse than this?! (Nervous laughter, knows internally it will be) 😐

Yep I’m going through the same with my little girl! She’s 16 weeks today and was starting to sleep through until a few nights ago and now she’s up every 1-2 hours, isn’t settling unless she’s on me and fed and really unsettled / inconsolable if I try and put her down. Let’s hope it passes soon 🙏🏼😵‍💫

Yes he’s doing 30m-1 hourly regardless of if I co sleep 👍🏽 going to start a method today of trying to self settle that doesn’t involve tons of crying and hopefully gets him off the boob to sleep. He’s only really ever gone 3-4 hourly anyway but that seems like a distant memory at this point x

@Ashleigh I know what you mean. How old is your little one? I don't know when to start a method.....I've read about the 5 minute method which sounds good!

Hes 4 months today although that will be on hold as poor boy has an ear infection/ possible perforated eardrum so that could explain all the wakings x

oh bless him! Yes possibly then. Hope he gets better soon xx

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.

Did I overreact?

I have had 3 c sections, recently had a wisdom teeth removal (4) to be exact and all my mom did was visit the day BEFORE and then she only sent 1 text. She has NEVER spent one full day with me and doesn’t acknowledge my achievements much. She just isn’t there when I need her to be. She claims she’s always working but she lives like 7 minutes away! she can come help with the kids so my husband can have break? we don’t ask her for much and she only sees the kids 1-2 a month. She also didn’t visit with my last c section. I told her that she should’ve gotten the abortion when she had the chance with me because why would you have me and neglect me emotionally? To not actually give me a present father in my life. I am very angry all she does is disappoint me. She only wants to show up for certain people in the family and I just want to grab her and shake her and ask her why can’t she be a good present mother?
