I’m about to be homeless

Im really about to lose it. Im about to be homeless. I haven’t paid rent. I don’t have a job. No one wants to give me a job or even a car rental. It’s so annoying. I have to drop my kids off to school then pick them up. I have nobody. I wake up every morning nervous. No I can’t ask nobody for anything. They don’t have anything and my own mother prays on my downfall.

Girl, file a damn appeal. You're not about to be homeless

If you're in the US, call CPS. Tell them you and your children will be homeless. They'll connect you to resources. Check churches. Reach out to local Facebook groups. People will have tons of recommendations for local services.

Illinois and I never had a car. I lost my job last year

They arent evicting anyone right now . The cops will tell them it’s a civil matter and they will have to take them to court. They don’t physically remove you without a court order

Have you tried a local church in your area? Sometimes they have resources to pay your rent, utilities for a month to help you get by. Also, there may be rental assistance in your area.

I'm so sorry. Yeah that's a lot of rent to owe. Seems as though they have given a lot of time since you owe that amount. On their end it's not much that can be done. It's not that they want you gone, it's just they reached the maximum of allowing you to stay without paying rent.

Did you have a 401k with your previous job? If so you can do an emergency withdrawal for funds

no I completely understand their view. I wasn’t saying they want me gone like that. I was just making it short. I’m not mad at them at all. It’s 1500 a month. At this point I’m just worried about where we gonna go.
