Nap times

I started 3 days ago. I close the curtains, put his in his sleep bag and then rock him until he's drowsy but awake and then put him down. It takes perseverance, day 1 was hard, but yesterday was a lot easier 😊

i second this!! We started about a week ago and it is getting easier by the day! I found having low expectations helpful.
If she doesn’t go down within 15 mins then we let her contact nap, just in the environment where she shouod sleep (in the bedroom, curtains closed with white noise machine).
It will only get easier xx

do you try to follow a schedule or just go with the flow when baby is looking sleepy?

We are on a routine. Feed every 3 hours starting a 7am. We have 1.5 hours wake time before 1.5 nap. Honestly routine just worked for us. She was so small when she was born that she wasn’t strong enough to wake to feed, so has been on routine since day 1 basically. It js loosely based off of the babywise book, but not as strict xx

No routine. He feeds when he's hungry, I know his wake windows are about an hour, as soon as he starts yawning or looks drowsy it's straight upstairs x

My little boy wouldn’t nap at all in his Moses basket, I now put him in his next to me during the day but make sure the blinds/curtains are shut so the room is dark. It’s made such a difference and he’ll usually nap for an hour or so! Good luck x
