Group B strep and HBAC

I could be wrong, but I thought group b strep is something that can come and go? Some women have it in one pregnancy and not another, and sometimes it comes and goes during a pregnancy even?

I personally wouldn’t. I have heard not great stories of having it and home births so I would do it in the hospital. And i’ve heard that it doesn’t go away that you continue to have it.

I’d go into the hospital and get the antibiotics and be where they can do anything for you and baby if any there were to happen

They can still do the antibiotics at home. Just looking for advice from people who have actually gone through it.
It does go away, it comes and goes through you’re life

It can come and go but it’s recommended that as soon as your waters break you get IV antibiotics until delivery to avoid it being passed to baby. It can be done at home so was wondering if anyone has done it and had advice

Gotcha it’s awesome that they can do the antibiotics at home but I have never been through it but I’ve heard stories and for her she would rather have been at a hospital so they could’ve potentially done more and instead of maybe we had to be brought to a hospital if they needed any kind of interventions. Definitely do your research and hear pros and cons of people that were positive to decide what you want to do.

My son had group b strep and sepsis. Although not born at home I personally after my experience would not risk it, it was 12 hours after birth that my son stopped breathing and I could not imagine being anywhere else than the hospital at that moment and forever grateful to have the doctors and midwife’s that noticed and saved his little life. I know what happened to us is in the minority but just thought I would give the side from someone that had the worst happened. Good luck with whatever you do ❤️
