Hello, I’m coming on here to vent because I’m feeling so overwhelmed. Does anyone else not know what the heck to cook for their 9 month old who gags on literally everything? I just feel like whatever I make she either gags on or plays with and doesn’t eat but if I make her a puree she wants to chew on something. I just feel like I can’t win. I’ve never been one to cook. As a matter of fact I hate it. I ordered food a lot prior to kids. But I know how to eat healthy when I want to I just do NOT like cooking at all. Is anyone else going nuts making 45 different things every night and your child hates all of it? My husband comes home every night and we literally both cook and clean and take care of our pets for HOURS and have absolutely zero time for ourselves. Our relationship is suffering because we just cannot figure out a good routine with the food stuff. Someone PLEASE save my sanity. Give me EASY non-puree but VERY soft meals to feed my daughter. She does have teeth and does well with noodles and tether sticks and everything but she gags on so many things and I’m half afraid to give her anything because I feel like she will choke. Ugh. I just feel like I’m going nuts I’m basically drowning in a never ending cooking fiasco all day every day.

I just don’t know what to cook. My son eats everything but I’m just lost on what to actually cook lol which is annoying. I just keep going on Pinterest and google to get ideas smh

I bought a cookbook called 'What Mummy Makes' which has loads of really quick simple recipes. A lot of recipes are for soft finger foods for baby which have been really useful.
yes like I have no idea! I was raised by my dad who ordered take out literally every single night when I was a kid. I don’t have a cooking bone in my body. Even when I look up recipes like they’re great and all but do I have all the ingredients? EVER? NOPE.
Not to mention the closest grocery store to me is a 20 minute drive… packing the child up.. driving there and back just for one ingredient.. like it’s such a waste. I just can’t figure this out.

Once I know what to cook I will cook it but man I just don’t know what to make and little things I can cook but then I’ll end up making to much so I gotta make little foods

I get the gerber toddler meals. It helps when I have no idea what to cook lol

I am not great for cooking either but my partner is super good at it so I learn from him. Btw we never really cook separately for our daughter unless at the very first when we had to isolate ingredients to rule out allergies. We skip the salt and chilli obv and add to ours only, would blend or mash food when she was 9 months old. Examples: baked potato, cream soups with sweet potato and whatever veggies, pasta with sauce (brocolli and cream cheese is a favourite), any stews I can throw in the slow cooker, scrambled eggs, quesadillas. All of these are 10 or less min prep. Some meals you can cook double the portions and freeze half for another day. Bubs gags because it takes time to learn to eat, I know it is stressful but it is a part of the process. As for the issue with the groceries far away you can try a meal plan but we have been rubbish at it so won't give advice.

I get the toddler meals and fruit/veggie pouches! The pouches saved my life 😅😭

Give what you ate eating but really at 9 months good is still for fun and milk is still main staple
At least until 1. I feel you sometimes I give soft buttered bread because I’m so stuck. She seems to love some watermelon or Greek yoghurt so that’s easy

We use the crockpot a lot. No real cooking involved. We throw chicken and veggies in there and get a few days worth of meals for ourselves and baby!
yogurt is a staple here lol
