I have a little boy and second baby on the way! I have major separation anxiety/struggle leaving my little one with others. Even to go to work etc. I’ve left him with my mum a few times he’s hours here and there, my partners mum maybe once/twice to go do a food shop etc it’s mainly my partner. I want to have a wee date night but this anxiety of leaving him is soooo difficult. Any advice? Is this normal?

Sure it's normal. I've yet to leave our LB overnight but my mum has had him for a couple of hours no problem.
Could you go out for an evening first ? And then overnight.

Honestly as blunt as it sounds (and absolutely not in a mean way) just do it. I think the thought of it and building it up in your head will be worse than when you actually do it! I know it’s super hard and there’s nothing wrong with feeling this way, but I think the best way to sort of ‘get over it’ is to bite the bullet and hopefully you’ll have a really lovely time with your husband and be able to start doing these things a little more regularly xx
See we do date nights every month a wee hour or two, cinema dinners and it’s my mum. But I feel guilty that I’m not involving my partners mum but I get severe anxiety around her, boundaries have been broken etc whereas I’m fine with my mum. I think I’m overthinking the whole thing and feel terrible for this x

I'm the same but with my own parents. My dad asks what my boundaries and usually listens but usually makes you feel guilty for it if he listens. My mum doesn't even ask, she's oblivious to her wrongdoing
It’s so difficult! I feel bad it just being my mum but I don’t feel comfortable with my partners, they don’t give me a good reason to trust them
