Does anyone know how to get my two year old to swallow his food?
He eats normally but there are times he just goes through this phase where he doesn’t want to swallow, only chew and store. He will have the food for an hour until we get him to spit it out.
He does it with food he likes and doesn’t like.
I’ve tried giving him a drink to help him swallow but he’s mastered his tongue so well that he can push them aside in his mouth, drink and then bring it right back
Even if I offer him ice cream (his favourite treat) he’ll do the same.
I don’t know what to do
It only happens every few days but I need him to eat and it’s just stressful

The joy of hamstering, it's so annoying. I usually take it as a sign he doesn't want to eat and just take the food away. Is he verbal to ask if he's hungry or not?

that’s what I thought at first but he’s the one that asked for food today
That’s why I’m so confused
Or maybe he can tell time and realised it was lunch😂😩
