The other day me and my bf got into an argument because he said I’m always on my phone and now I feel like me being on my phone is what’s causing my son’s delay in speech. He listens and all that but hasn’t talked and he’s 15 months. I feel guilty about being on my phone so much but I can’t seem to put it down 😓 am I the only person with this problem ???

My sister was like that and at age 4 my parents got her tested because she still wasn’t talking. Turns out something was wrong with the tubes in her ears. She needed surgery to correct the issue.
Not trying to worry you, but it doesn’t hurt to get checked just in case.
Because on the same note, my cousin didn’t start really talking until 2 and he is just fine now and doesn’t ever stop talking.
And then some kids start trying to talk at a year.
Each kid is different.
yes! I am always talking to him and tell him everything I’m doing like with him or around the house. I’ve tried doing like one on one play time but he really doesn’t like to play lol he likes to fidget and be alone really. He says mama and dada but he only says mama if he’s crying and dada he says it non stop!
oh wow really??? That’s so weird cause my son has lately been putting his fingers in his ears and I thought maybe it was teething making his ears pop?? I have really small ears so I have always had issues with my ears being clogged so maybe he got ear problems from me? I have an appt for him this Monday
wow that’s actually a really good idea to do! My bf is hardly on his phone but he does play video games all of the time so that’s when I’m on my phone. I think I do get a little addicted to it. Recently I started school so I’m gone mostly all day so it’s been hard for me to balance it all and I just wanna be on my phone everyone once in a while but I do think I need to focus on my son more. I don’t want him to think my phone is more important than him. Sometimes my son just watches me be on my phone and I have to catch myself to get off of it

My oldest didn’t talk until 18 months and now she’s a talking machine. Every child is different and talks when they’re ready

15 months isn't a speech delay! Babies start talking between 12 and 18 months.
that’s true, I just want him to communicate with me and I would love to hear his little voice talking non stop lol
yeah that’s what I did the other day and put a limit on the two apps I use the most and deleted all my unnecessary apps
yeah when he comes up to me I give him all my attention even if I’m not on my phone. He does babble and it sounds like he’s trying to tell me something lol so Im hopeful he’s at least trying. I overthink and sorry a lot lol
thank you I don’t really give him screen time. It’s my screen time I think is a problem lol I feel a little addicted to my phone. I don’t have the tv on for him a lot tho and I never let him use phones or iPads
