We introduced one at 3/4 months due to no sleep during the 4 month sleep regression, she would skip all her naps and either breastfed to sleep or used me as a human dummy! Now she doesn’t breastfeed we have kept the dummy for her to use as part of her naps and bedtime routine since. Stuck on if she would fall asleep without it, she doesn’t nap without it either. Happy that we’ve kept the dummy for sleep only but don’t want to continue with it anymore

Some people find just taking it away altogether works and letting them “cry it out”. So people dip the teet in something sour and then ur baby will dislike the taste of it and won’t want it. Cut holes in the teet.

Ive heard of people slowing cutting bits of the dummy off until theres no teat left but i havent personally tried this, im also at this stage with my son’s dummy.
