My little one is 16 months and the last couple of months has been so bad at getting his nappy changed ! Straight crying when laying him down pulling and kicking and just trying to roll away. I used to be able to sing to him to calm him down but doesn’t seem to work now, anyone have any tips or suggestions on how to make getting his nappy changed less dramatic
Thanks

Have you tried handing him something to keep him occupied whether it be his favorite toy or even a clean diaper?

My always hated nappy change, now as soon as he see me grab a nappy or pack of wipes he cry and run away 🤣😅 tried everything wipes warmer, toys, music, siging, playing peek a boo nothing working so I just try to be efficient 🤷🏼♀️

As bad as it sounds… I pass him my phone. It’s locked, he’s not watching anything on it but it keeps him still long enough for me to change him. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

It’s totally normal at that age so don’t feel like you’re doing anything wrong or anything is wrong with him, you’re in the “wrestling an alligator” stage 🤣

Thank you all for the suggestions! I’ll try them all and hopefully one will settle him🤞🏼and I can couldn’t describe that better “wrestling an alligator”😂

Sounds strange but make strange faces at him and sing different songs not ones his used to! Hand him something to play with he wouldn’t usually play with
