6 month old sleep habits

My baby just turned 6 months old and she does not fall asleep unless we swing her in our arms and she does not like to sleep alone. We let her sleep in our bed at night which is convenient for night feeding but she will not sleep alone for her day naps- definitely not in her crib and also not on our bed. It is hard to go out with her because she is not great at napping on the go in her cot and car seat which leaves her overtired and messes up her sleep even more.
I feel like I’m constantly worried about her sleep everyday. I avoid going out completely and it is so hard to have a social life. I don’t want to shamed for not sleep training my baby- I have tried training her but I’m not good at hearing my baby cry, it stresses me out a lot. We’ve tried gentler approaches and it still does not work because she will wake up as soon as we put her down and starts crying. Plus I feel guilty because I feel like I’m pushing my baby away while she needs me to fall sleep. It is hard to be in the room 15-16 hours a day. Please share some advice/tips. I’m becoming miserable and feel like I’m failing as a mom

Don't feel guilty you're doing exactly what your baby needs! It's so normal for babies not to want to sleep alone and especially such a young one will definitely need help to get sleep.
Just try to get of the house during wake windows! Have the first nap at home, go out for a few hours then come back! If anyone would shame you for not sleep training they're probably not the best people to have in your life tbh! Are you in the UK? I found going to children's centre really helpful, or baby groups in general. You'll meet a lot of mums in the same boat xx

My boy started being able to sleep alone on my bed or in the pram about 7, 8 months I think. It will come xx

I can’t help I’m afraid but my LB is the same. Will scream as if he’s in pain if I put him down in his crib. Even if he stays asleep he wakes up 30 mins later screaming and won’t go down in it during the day at all. He just wants to be with us all the time

Mines is exactly the same. To get out of the house, I have to get ready and pack the changing bag, etc, during the wake window, then let baby nap and leave the house immediately when he wakes up. If I don't leave straight away, then I will drive where I'm going, have baby contact nap in the car on arrival, and then get out of the car.

It's not ideal, but it's what works right now. I try and remind myself it's just a few short years that they need us this much.

Thank you for making me feel normal. I feel like everyone around keeps telling me that I cannot continue this way and it makes me feel even more frustrated, and I hate to feel that way because it hinders my capability to be a better mom to my child. I’m in Canada but I can try to find mom groups here

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.
opinions about how not necessary it is will not be appropriate for this post. Thank you in advance. 🩵
