Hi everyone
I'm hoping for advice on bras! I'm 28 weeks pregnant now and every single bra I wear ends up giving me really back mid back pain. I'm usually 36DD but probs bigger now. Just desperate to be comfortable. I'm at the verge of sacking off my bra altogether but not sure if this will make back pain worse. I've tried soft nursing bras, skims bras, sports bras, all of m+s nursing range so far but everything either ends up being uncomfortable/ causing back ache.

I went bra free as much as I could before giving birth and I was a 40E before giving birth. I know many people aren’t comfortable going bra free but if you can I would

If you have a Bravissimo near you, I really recommend them. They will measure you properly and have loads of options for maternity/ nursing bras. They also do virtual fittings if you don’t have one nearby. I went to M&S to get measured in my last pregnancy and they measured me as 40B (I was a 34DD pre-pregnancy! 🙄 Went to bravissimo and they gave me 36F which was a much better fit)

I’ve just been wearing soft and comfy sports bras - like yoga bras and I find them much better

I have found it really helpful to go M&S and book a free bra-fit. The lady who helped me out was great and I ended up buying bras I would have never chosen myself!
Bravissimo as stated above is great too as they look at your breasts and posture rather than measuring you. It’s a bit more pricey though so whatever fits your budget!

M&S do use the old fashioned method of adding 4 inches to your back measurement. When you have larger boobs that makes for a lack of support and can be very uncomfortable. Definitely agree bravissimo will give you a good idea on size but can be expensive. You could join the boob or bust group on facebook, they teach you how to measure yourself accurately and can help you find comfortable bras that fit well. There is lots of knowledge in that group that can help you find less expensive options too x
