Bit of a long shot, or maybe not….?? 🤷🏻♀️
Has anyone else had a cervical stitch in place during their pregnancy?
I’ve just had mine removed yesterday at 37+2 weeks. It wasn’t the greatest of experiences considering I was placed under general anaesthetic when it was put in but had absolutely nothing yesterday when having it removed.
How long have they advised it will take before you could go into labour, or if in a previous pregnancy when did you have your little one?
I just feel like I left yesterday with no idea on how long it will be to try and prepare myself mentally as I’m super anxious.

I had mine out at 35 plus one and I'm currently 36 plus 3 with no definite labour signs. They say most will labour within 2 weeks but some people go full term. Just enjoy the sense of a 'normal pregnancy ' and let baby come now when ready. Well done mama xc

Thank you for this, really helpful to know and giving me a bit of peace of mind.
I’ve been so anxious this entire process as its 3rd time lucky after two late losses. I guess I still haven’t accepted that this is actually going to happen for me now, finally 🌈👶🏼x

I had one stitch placed at 12 weeks in my first pregnancy, it was taken at 25 weeks and gave birth at 26+4 due to e coli infection. It still held for almost two weeks even with infection.

Hey! I had one with my first removed at 37 weeks and my waters broke at 38+6. I have another one now, getting it out on Wednesday at 37 weeks again so interested to see when I go in to labour again. Think it’s all abit unknown x
