Seriously struggling with meal times. My little one refuses to eat most things. She seems to only eat anything with potato in….. chips, waffles etc but obviously she can’t just keep eating this 😭. Any recommendations what you feed your little one’s day to day?! TIA x

Mine is also a pretty fussy eater. Some days she'll eat something other days not. I got her to eat peas by pretending they were my snack, sitting down on the floor and letting her take them off my plate. Rather than a formal meal time. That worked and now she really like peas. It also worked with dried Apricots.
I cant get her to eat proper "meals". For instance she'd never eat a pasta bake, or risotto, or a pie which I feel sad about as I'd love to cook some bits for her. At the beginning I made everything from scratch and I've slowly stopped trying. I do collections of individual foods and let her pick what she likes.
If its any help the popular bits are:
Breadsticks, cheese, breadnbutter, philadelphia on toast, brocolli, occasionally sweetcorn, porridge, cheerios, cherries, strawberry, banana.
She loves quorn nuggets and will eat like yours waffles/chips. And sausages!
I'm trying not to feel sad or stressed about it. There's lots of research to show if you force it is worse in future. Try not to worry x

My little one is the same the only good meal he has is breakfast Cereal toast and fruit and then that's it the rest day he refuses to eat anything. Apart from breadstickss carrots, and fruit. He was such a good eater before. Also anything sweet such a rice pudding or pancakes homemade he would eat. On weekdays throughout the day he's with my MIL and I'm sure she gives him lots of biscuits and processed sweet food to make up for him not eating his lunch. I don't know if he's used to that now.
Omg thank yous for replying. It has made me feel so much better that it’s not just me going through this! I used to make such an effort and she would just hand the plate back to me. Now I feel bad for making her the same things all the time but that’s all she will eat so it’s just a constant battle with not feeling like I’m doing good enough! She eats breakfast no problem. I have a cup of tea & a biscuit every morning and she has to have a biscuit too. And has toast, and cereal. She’s very good with fruit. But no with vegetables, she used to love peas but not anymore. Someone told me to hold off like an hour of the time she’s supposed to eat so that shes a bit more hungry and more likely to eat what I put infront of her. I may try this and see if it works xxx

Yeah i feel like this is very common, well in most mums i talk about it too, my boy used to be such a good eater and wpupd eat anything i made him but now, he lives on fish fingers, chip/ waffles, nuggets, sausage, hes obsessed with corn, and he'll eat any fruit you give him but no proper meals as such, id love for him to eat when we eat, i always try to offer it to him as ive heard just exposure to the foods its better than nothing but no spag bol, no roast dinners, or cottage pie nothing he just plays with it, but we're doing our best and thats sll that matters hopefully in the future it will change xx

Mine will pretty much just eat yoghurt these days 🙈 he does like blueberries and other fruit and he will also try things if they’ve got bbq sauce or ketchup on!
I’m constantly worrying about his sugar intake/getting enough calories but I literally can’t get him to eat anything else 😩
Hoping he’ll try more things soon 🙏
