pelvic/ovary pain

is it normal to be feeling dull pelvic/ovarian pains? it almost feels like a pulling or a poking. i'm in my first trimester, i just hit 8 weeks. and i was just wondering if anyone else experienced the same around this point in their pregnancy? or if this is something i should be worried about?? i'm a young first time mom, and i feel like every ache and pain that i DO get stresses me out a bit. i am fairly small in stature usually as well, could that be a part of it? if anyone knows anything helpful, please let me know!šŸ’•

Yessss no one ever talks about stomach/pelvic pain in the first trimester!! It’s just your uterus stretching and adapting to the baby growing!! Paracetamol and ibuprofen go a long way at this stage🄰

thank you so much! this really puts my mind at easeā¤ļø

Yes, I was paranoid that I was having a miscarriage every other day. I’m 23 weeks & they’re getting more aggressive..doctor said Braxton hicks..

Yes I had desperate pains until around end of week 10, I’m in week 12 now and it’s easing, around week 7 I really was miserable with pains and feeling crap 😢

you’re welcome. If you grow more concerned and painkillers don’t work, contact your gp ā¤ļø

Ibuprofen is not recommended in pregnancy, paracetamol is the main one to take unless the doctor prescribes you something different.

thank you so much!

it's great to hear that it will ease up shortly! thank you!!

yes that was my worry exactly! i've had a miscarriage before, but these felt a bit different. i'm definitely with you there!!

absolutely, I was cramping constantly during first trimester! Just to note though that paracetamol should be OK but ibuprofen is not recommended in pregnancy unless prescribed by a doctor.

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way šŸ˜‚ arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

Anyone else’s owlet pi##ing them off ?!?! It goes off 5/6 a night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off!!
