I’m almost 22 weeks and had lower back ache on and off for the past four weeks however this week I’ve noticed it waking me up in the night and I’m super uncomfortable. Does anyone know what can help please? (I do put a cushion in-between my legs and lay on the left side as much as possible)

I have been suffering with this too. I use a hot water bottle in the day and heat pads at night to help

Mention this to your midwife. I have been suffering pretty bad also. They have referred me to physio and got a pregnancy band to help with supporting my belly when out and about. Mine was bad at 22 weeks. Once I did my physio and had my belt on. I also brought a big U shape pillow to go around me to prevent me from rolling over. The pain has eased so much I’m now 24 weeks. Won’t completely go but will gradually get better. Your body/hips are getting ready and loosing for labour. Hope it gets better soon for you xx

I was at a physio appointment yesterday for similar, she said as well as the cushion between my thighs to pop one under my ankles/feet to keep my pelvis level and forwards, tried it last night and have woken up slightly better. I second a support belt, I have a babygogo one from amazon and the physio was very impressed with it, you just can't wear it for too long as it is quite tight x

Thank you, I will mention it to her although she isn’t the most welcoming 😅 I’ll get the pillow also xx

Thank you, will look into this also! It’s really caught me by surprise 🫣 x

mine too! Didn't have any pain in my first pregnancy apart from right at the end so couldn't believe it when it started x

Get a belly support band. It may seem so little and that jt won't do much...but I live with one and it makes such a huge difference (and I have a degenerative spinal condition)
