25 weeks movements

Hey ladies , anyone who is same gestation as me how often you feeling baby move?
I keep having anxiety over it that’s somethings wrong, I feel her move in the morning and then a bit during day sometimes if I’m busy not often and then at night , last 2 days she’s not been as active , when I have like chocolate I notice lot of kicks probably from the sugar.
What is an average day like for you?
How much should we be feeling at this stage
My midwife was useless when I asked her x

I'm 24+3 weeks and very similarly to you. 😊 I feel baby mostly around the time I wake up, and when I go to bed. I generally find that unless I'm lying or sitting in bed, I'm not very likely to feel her, plus as you said in the daytime we're likely to be focused on work or running around doing other things, and I find I don't notice much. My mum told me she was the same, so for my own sanity I have decided to only worry if I don't feel her at all in the evening (when she usually has a lengthy dance party and I know I am more mindful of my body), because those NHS leaflets really put the fear in you don't they??
But please don't hesitate to get it checked out if you're worried, they're here for that. 😉

I’m currently 25+3 and my movements are the same! I tend to feel him more in the morning and after eating, but also when laying on my left side. if I am having a busy day chances are I won’t notice feeling him moving as much. I have noticed as well that his movements are quite low down at the moment which is apparently normal (according to Google 😂) I wouldn’t worry, it sounds like you’re noticing a pattern, but if you are concerned you can always ask your midwife 😊😊

Thanks for your replies ladies it’s so reassuring to hear that! ☺️xx

I’m 25 + 4 and same, normally a little in the morning and in the evenings and then if I stay still and I’m quiet I can feel them, but it’s not as much as I thought I would do xx

Hey lovely, it's normal not to feel the baby all the time at this stage, it's recommended to start tracking their movements from 28 weeks onwards as that's when the 3rd trim starts. They're still quite small now and they could be kicking all day long but in a direction where you don't feel it. It's really good that you feel movements when you're having something sugary, that's one of the tests recommended for decreased movements later on 😊 So you already know what to do, trust your instincts and trust that they're safe in their little pod there🥰 Also, if you feel your midwife isn't helpful, you can request a different one (most of the times it's as easy as just changing the schedule of the apps😉).
I don't really feel mine when I'm stressed or very busy but if I cry or I'm very emotional she's kicking like crazy🥺 I'm 25 weeks tomorrow!🥳

My midwife says when walking and active we could just miss it or be distracted or the motion makes them sleep. She said average should be 10 bouts of movement in 24 hours from 24/25 weeks

I have been told movements should never change so if she’s not doing her routine or moving less you need to contact midwife straight away x

Call the helpline if your midwife did not help

that’s generally from 28 weeks I believe as movements before then can be more sporadic; but for peace of mind for sure speak to midwife

I’m also 25 weeks and she’s been quite similar in movements to what you’re experiencing. Some days a lot more movement than others but was told you don’t need to keep note of their movements until 28 weeks at the hospital. When I had my 25 week appointment today and she checked the heartbeat it was really strong and she also noted movement that I couldn’t actually feel myself so that’s also an indication they are moving and you can’t feel it sometimes?

Mines is similar. Some days are really active, but that's probably because im noticing. Others only a few times per day. I like to see it as she's storing all her energy up for when her mass movements will inconvenience me the most 🤣
As long as I feel her a few times during the day, im happy. If I get worried caffeine and chocolate 🤣 or lay down

I'm 25+2 and I feel baby girl move every couple of hours throughout the day and night, sometimes really strong kicks and sometimes little movements but I don't think they have a set routine until 28 weeks, try not to worry but if you are concerned contact the pregnancy unit at the hospital x

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
