Hearing

So originally my daughter passed her hearing test with flying colors and when we said her name no that showed she’d turn to us or say huh… something. Now it’s like she can’t hear us at 11 months. Sometimes we’d say she’s ignoring us but now I don’t know. Sometimes she’ll still mimick us so I’m like she has to hear or some of her favorite toys make noises and if she’s crying they usually calm her but some of those also have lights. Has anyone else dealt with this? It’s really bothering me. She’s happy and giggles and plays a ton. But I don’t understand why she’s not acknowledging us calling her name.

She might be just busy. I would take her to pediatrician to check hearing anyway. But it could be that she is busy learning and playing. Does she always ignore her name or sometimes responds?

I feel like now she always ignores us but sometimes I ask her to hand me a toy she is playing with and she gives it to me. I try not to make hand motions so it’s not obvious but I don’t know if I give it away some how.

Sometimes my son answers to his name/nickname only for a second and then turns back away and sometimes he ignores us completely until we go over to him and pick him up or get in front of him

Our April boy was born deaf. After almost a year of multiple tests we still don’t know why. But he passed his newborn hearing and then failed it the next day (he had to be tested twice as he was in NICU for 2 days. All of the further hearing testing confirmed he is profoundly deaf so it is still a mystery why he passed initial test. So not to scare you but false pass on hearing test is possible so definitely have hearing retested soon. Early detection is crucial to hearing and speech development

our daughter used to answer to her name and then just stopped. I don’t understand what would make her stop.

this is a good point and I’ll watch for it. She has no other signs of anything that I have noticed. She giggles, babbles, and hit all her milestones. She used to answer/acknowledge her name but now nothing.

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲
