So, my husband and I have been married for almost 6 years but he and his mom don't understand that he's a grown up with a wife and kids. It bothers me soooo much, I hate when his mom comes to visit, I feel she's always trying to prove that she's his first and only love and she's more important than me... I get that she's his mom... Duh! But I'm his wife, she's Always telling me what to do and how to do it, in my house, with my daughter and my husband. I got really mad at my husband this weekend, something I've been asking him to do for almost a year in MY house, my idea, his mom suggested him to do it and he just did it, just like that! And then she calls me to show me HER great Idea. I'm about to lose my 💩 with the situation, I'm tired of him not giving me my place, when she's around it's like I'm a nobody in my own house.

I'd be pissed.

You are not wrong at all. Have you tried telling your husband how you feel? It sounds like HE needs to set boundaries with your MIL and have your back!
yes, I have and he says I'm just overreacting. 🙄

That’s super annoying… I’m sorry😔 I would try to have a conversation about it with your husband

Definitely feel your pain. I have been there.
We like each other's family and both historically have been very close to our own. However, we decided in order to make sure our family (each other and our kids) stay the priority, we are the confrontation person for our family lines. We talk about problems or feelings we have together and have each other back. Positive intentions about the other person and how they feel. How would you want them to respond. Would it bother him if it were reversed? We have definitely both bent on things we see differently but what's more important...your partner feeling validated and comfortable in your relationship (within reason obviously)
