Hello! I’m just wondering how people are in a routine with their breastfed baby? For example, I don’t understand how I meant to have a set bedtime when she feeds on demand so one night her last feed could be seven another it could be 10! Am I missing something here or do people just let their baby lead and not have a structured time based routine? X

My little one is 12 weeks and we do not have a routine at all. I am very much following her needs.
I don’t plan on establishing a routine until she is moving into her own room at 6 months.

Baby lead here- no routine for feeding (or generally!) and no set bedtime yet. A set bedtime certainly doesn’t work well for every baby- if it’s not achievable and doesn’t work for you, don’t strive for it. It doesn’t really mean anything!
My first child still doesn’t have a set bedtime, there’s soo many variables, what they both have is a consistent “bed time routine”, which to us is more important than it happening and precisely the same time every day. For my toddler, it’s the routine that does lead to bedtime, for the Jan baby it’s just an evening routine that leads to quiet time and usually another nap, before bedtime is much much later.

I have a routine from the week 4. My boy is nearly 11 weeks now. He has a bath at 7pm, then a feed and he sleeps till 4am now 😀 breastfed baby. I just pre-plan ahead. If he's hungry at 6pm then I'll just give him one boob and stretch it till bed time. Works great for us.

My baby is 12 weeks I don’t have a routine apart from night time! I introduced a bottle of kendamil organic formula and wake her up at 11pm to give her this! She is now sleeping through the night. Rest of the day she is EBF x I found just breastfeeding she was just constantly on me and seemed to cluster feed xx

My baba is 9 weeks , has a bottle of expressed milk around 6pm then a boob top up in bed at 8pm which is his bed time he then falls asleep around 8:30-9 and sleeps till 4am then again wakes around 8am , last night he slept 9pm - 6:30 this morning !! I feed on demand but make sure to help fill him up prior to bedtime x

I exclusively breastfeed. My baby is 3 months today. He got himself into a routine tbf, we get up for the day at 6-7 and go to bed at 7-8. If he wants to sleep longer in the morning I let him, if he isn’t tired by 7-8 at night he stays up but he usually stick to those times :)
